A student project of the Faculty of Maritime Studies and Transport, UL
Introduction
As part of our project named “Coastal Measurement and protection of port facilities”, we were tasked with formulating a strategy for the development of a remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROV) for underwater exploration and measurement.
Hyperbaric chamber
Our initial discussion revolved around solving the problems associated with designing a vehicle capable of overcoming the hostile conditions of the marine environment. The main physical constraints we face include coping with the corrosive environment of seawater and the significant hydrodynamic pressure.
